Our Approach to Preventative and General Care

We believe preventative care is the best way to keep pets healthy and happy. One of the most important services we provide is the annual wellness examination. We check all your pet’s vital systems, create a baseline of health, and proactively catch any situations that might need attention. Other basic services include vaccinations, fecal tests, deworming, dental cleaning and extractions, geriatric physicals, and nail trims. End-of-life service is provided with compassion and understanding.

    Advanced Services

St. Francis Veterinary Clinic also provides a wide variety of more extensive services for our patients. We offer hospitalization and intensive care for seriously ill patients and diagnostic testing. We have a surgical suite and strive to provide the best in anesthetic and surgical care, from routine spays and neuters to orthopedic and soft tissue. Should the need for referral arise, we have excellent relationships with board-certified specialists in areas such as internal medicine, critical care, surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, and oncology.

        FAQs

We do not offer in-house payment plans. However, we proudly accept CareCredit and Scratchpay as flexible third-party financing options for your convenience.

Do you offer euthanasia for behavioral issues or convenience?

No. It is strictly against our policy to perform euthanasia for any reason other than serious medical conditions that cannot be managed. We are committed to providing compassionate, ethical veterinary care at all times.

        Do you accept walk-in appointments?

No. All appointments must be scheduled in advance to ensure we provide each patient with the time and attention they deserve.

How much is a typical exam fee?

Our standard wellness exam fee starts at $67. Additional fees may apply depending on the services provided during your pet’s visit. For a personalized estimate, please contact our office.

Is annual preventative bloodwork and a fecal panel required?

Yes — and it’s a vital part of your pet’s care. At St. Francis Veterinary Clinic, we follow best practices in preventive medicine. Annual bloodwork and fecal screenings allow us to:

        • Monitor heartworm status
        • Detect intestinal parasites
        • Assess major organ functions
        • Dispense prescription flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

These panels help us identify early signs of illness and ensure your pet stays healthy year-round.
