Dr. Stone loves the variety her profession provides. She enjoys the people she works with. When she is away from the clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband Steve and their three sons, Simon, Sidney and Seth. She spends her  spare time  gardening, hiking, and reading.   She has two cats Porchie & Frankie and 9 laying hens.


Ashley Custer, DVM

Personal:
Dr. Custer used to work at St. Francis as one of Dr. Stone's assistants and loved the area and clinic so much that she returned. She is interested in rehabilitative and feline medicine and has two kitties of her own: Merlin and Cheddar. When she isn't working, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling - her most recent location New Zealand.


Colby Valentine

Veterinary Assistant

Education: University of Central Arkansas

Colby started as a kennel assistant in 2016 and since has worked his way up to an assistant and now works under Dr. Stone. Colby has showed his ultimate passion for animals and client concerns in his time at St. Francis & is always willing to help when it comes to our furry friends. He has two cats at home, King Arthur & Belle.



Hannah Mason

Veterinary Assistant

Years in Practice: 1

Hannah came to St. Francis in the fall of 2016 as a kennel assistant and is now veterinary assistant under Dr. Custer. Her passion for the world of veterinary medicine has shown through her work ethic and her compassion for patients under her care. She has one of the biggest hearts in the clinic. Hannah is currently enrolled in Penn Foster for a veterinary nursing degree. At home, Hannah is the mom to a cocker spaniel mix named Baxter.


Jennifer Jester

Veterinary Assistant

Years in Practice: 10

Jennifer Jester grew up in Southeast Louisiana and relocated to Arkansas in 2013. Jennifer has a background in Internal Medicine, Emergency/Critical Care, General Practice, and Feline Friendly Facilities across the country. She has a large herd of fur-kids (6 dogs, 6 cats, 9 chickens, and 3 fish tanks) that she loves dearly. When she’s not attending school to finish her veterinary nursing degree she can be found out in her garden.


Kristi Weider

Customer Service Specialist

Years in Practice: 2

Kristi has been with St. Francis since August 2015. She loves her job and getting to see all the animals and faces that come through the door. Kristi has three Chinese Crested Dogs, Mr. Man, Harley, and Zeke, and one Beagle, Cheeto. She is married to Leigh and has four children, Lexie, Maggie, Ben and Jake. When she is not at the clinic she enjoys spending time with her family and fishing.


Jimmi Lewis

Customer Service Specialist

Jimmi grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where she was constantly surrounded by a herd of numerous animals most of her life. As she got older, the number of animals she had decreased but her passion for them never went dim. She currently has two dogs, Bone and Bullet, and a cat named Simba. She has been with the St. Francis family for a year now and has shown complete compassion and care for every client and patient that have walked through our doors. Jimmi and her husband also have a 7 year old daughter, Lilah.


Kelsey Writtenhouse

Kennel Assistant

When Kelsey was in high school she volunteered at St. Francis and learned all about working in a clinic. When she graduated she came back to work as a kennel assistant. She also fills in as a customer service specialist. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Jeff, they have two daughters - Skylaar and Riley. She has a pitbull named Rhydian & a domestic long haired kitty name Gigi. Kelsey has received her veterinary assistant diploma and she is the artist behind all of our beautiful paw prints!  


Tucker Collins

Kennel Assistant

Years in Practice: 3

Tucker has been with St.Francis since 2015. He is studying biology at University of Central Arkansas and is working towards becoming a veterinarian. When he is not studying Tucker loves to spend time with friends and to go fishing!


Shara Hale

Kennel Supervisor

Years in Practice: 1

 Shara has been working at St. Francis since December 2016. She previously worked at the Humane Society and was in charge of caring for all the animals. Shara is in charge of boarding at the clinic and runs our monthly puppy classes!  Shara has a daughter named Joleene, a cat named Lilly & a dog named Gizmo. 


Alec Filson

Kennel Assistant

 Alec came to the clinic in 2014 to job shadow and see how things work in the veterinary world and fell in love with it. About a year later in March of 2015, Alec began volunteering when he could and was eventually added on to the team as a Kennel Assistant. Alec has 3 dogs: Jack, a black lab mix; Zeus, a golden retriever-border collie mix; and Atlas, a Siberian husky. Alec plans to become a veterinarian and learn as much as possible about the profession.

Captain Nemo is our new clinic kitty! He was rescued by Dr. Custer and has happily made himself at home with us. He is super sweet and loves attention!
